Description: Exceedingly rare Wilbur "Bullet" Rogan autographed photograph c.1920s. Period "W.Rogan" signature (rating 7/8 out of 10) appears on the reverse of a 1920s era photograph which measures just under 8"x10". Rogan is shown demonstrating his pitching form in Monarchs uniform and below the autograph has written, "Mail me 5 these same pose" with his California address noted below. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998, Rogan's autograph has proven more than elusive with this being just the second example we are aware of to have been offered publicly (the other appeared in our Nov. 2005 sale realizing $25,000). Photograph itself was, for decades, stored rolled tightly and has a series of creases and wrinkles to paper along with mild toning/soiling and edge chips/tears. Possibly a unique opportunity to acquire one of the rarest and most desired of all Hall of Fame autographs further enhanced by a known chain of provenance. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig.
