Description: Bill Mazeroski Game used baseball attributed to June 11, 1969 Career National League Assists Record. Giles National League baseball showing evident game use including surface soiling and impact marks. Written on a side panel in period ink, "Most Assists" by Bill Mazeroski to denote the newly set National League mark of 6,027 assists by a second baseman eclipsing the previous number of 6,026 by Hall of Famer Frank Frisch. The record was set during a game played between the Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies on April 11, 1969 with a ground ball from Tony Taylor to Mazeroski in the top of the third inning. That record has since been broken by Joe Morgan but remains one the many elite defensive accomplishments of Mazeroski's career. The ball is currently not autographed by Bill Mazeroski but will be included if the winning bidder desires as much. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: VG-EX
