Description: August 17, 1971 Bill Mazeroski 2000th Hit Baseball. Notable milestone baseball as hit by Bill Mazeroski for a double off of Houston Astros pitcher Wade Blasingame. Light to moderately toned Feeney NL ball exhibits evident use and has been inscribed on side panel, "Hit No. 2000 Aug. 17, 1971 OFF Wade Blasingame Houston Astros." Small printed initials at bottom left of "T.B." likely indicative of the individual who penned the inscription on the baseball. Long revered for his stellar defense, Bill Mazeroski was also a dependable clutch hitter with the offered baseball representing one of the more notable hitting accomplishments of his career. Currently, the ball has not been autographed by Bill Mazeroski but would be facilitated if the winning bidder would choose to do so.
