Description: August 5, 1970 Bill Mazeroski Record Setting 4,781th Putout Baseball. Feeney NL baseball which was used to record the 4,781th putout of Bill Mazeroski's career establishing a new National League record. The ball itself shows evident game use including some appropriate abrasions. Inscribed on side panel in Mazeroski's hand, "4781 putout broke record by Billy Herman August 5, 1970". Mazeroski's mark surpassed the previous number held by Hall of Fame member Billy Herman and remains second all time in the National League to that of Joe Morgan. Includes a period Pittsburgh area newspaper article in which it was referenced that Maz would display the ball either at his Greensburg home or golf course in Rayland, Ohio. Currently, the ball has not been autographed by Bill Mazeroski but would be facilitated if the winning bidder would choose to do so.
