Description: 1976 Baseball All-Star Game ring (at Philadelphia). In honor of our Nations' Centennial year the All-Star Game returned to Philadelphia for the first time in almost a quarter century. The National League did not disappoint winning 7-1 behind the offensive prowess of the (5) Big Red Machine members voted to appear. Original ring as presented to Bob Wirz features maroon colored stone at top face with applied baseball decoration which is accented by red enameled stitching. Beveled upper edge is lettered "Baseball All Star" around the outside and "American National" inside. Left shank has MLB logo in relief with "Major League Baseball" spelled out above the year "76." Right has the name "Wirz" lettered within top of a Liberty Bell design. Interior band is marked "LGB QP."
