Description: 1973 Baseball All-Star Game 10K gold ring (at Kansas City). The 1973 All-Star Game marked the 40th Anniversary for what had become baseballs' greatest annual gathering. In total (18) future Hall of Famers took part in the game which the National League won with a decisive 7-1 victory. It was the 24th and final appearance for Willie Mays; an attendance record which stands to this day. Original ring as presented to Bob Wirz of modest design with central stone flanked by impressed (Major League) "Baseball" logo on one side and "All Star 1973" titling on the other. Interior band has Linde Stars manufacturer's stamping (appears as "LX"), along with "10K" and "RW" markings. Displays a touch of typical light wear.
