Description: Rare 1956 St. Louis Cardinals professional model road jersey (one year style). Gray flannel jersey with "Cardinals" team name across the front in logo font has player number "67" on back. Faint outline below suggests that another number was removed with the replacement having been done by the team in the period. Left sleeve has embroidered Cardinal logo as appears only on jerseys dating to 1956 specifically. "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel" manufacturer's tag appears on left front tail with adjacent "44" size tag. Wash tag and "Set 1 1956" flag on interior. Embroidered on front tail is "Muffett 56" indicating that the jersey was likely prepared for use by Billy Muffett who was in the Cardinals Minor League system at the time but did not make the roster than year.
