Description: 1959 St. Louis Cardinals professional model road jersey. Gray flannel jersey with classic "Cardinals" birds on bat logo embroidered across the front has player number "8" on back. Faint outline below suggests that another number was removed with the replacement having been done by the team in the period. "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel" manufacturer's tag appears on left front tail with adjacent "42" size tag. Wash tag and "Set 1 1959" flag on interior. Embroidered on front tail is "V McDaneil 59" indicating that the jersey was likely prepared for use by Vern McDaniel who was in the Cardinals Minor League system at the time but did not make the roster than year.
