Description: Lot of (4) vintage Ted Williams photographs with relation to the "Williams Shift" c. 1940-1950s. Set of original images from Ted's personal collection with several views of the famed "Williams Shift" employed by opposing teams to negate Ted's batting strength to right field. The lot also includes a photo of Williams commenting on a period photo of him hitting three home runs to the right field area which was his favored manner in which to beat the shift. Sizes range from 7"x9" to 11"x14".
