Lot Number: 701

Description: Ted Williams personal briefcase along with documents and general ephemera including autographed items c.1960-1980s. Hard cased brown plastic briefcase as used by Ted Williams retains its original brass placard applied to the exterior engraved with "Ted Williams" identification. Certainly a favorite case of Ted's due to the fact that the original handle (missing) has been replaced with rope. Included with the case are numerous documents to include: (12) White Birch Camp corporate checks with one having been actually signed "Theodore Williams" in black ink. All (12) checks have been stamped with Ted Williams' personal facsimile rubber stamp so as to prevent from any future misrepresentation; 1965 General Power of Attorney one page document signed "Theodore S. Williams"; 1961 four page carbon copy real estate document signed once in blue ink, "Ted Williams"; 1981 Johnson Outboard Motor receipt signed in blue ink, "Ted Williams"; (5) 1969 State Street Bank and Trust Company bank documents each signed, "Theodore S. Williams"; 1984 typewritten contract (multi page) authorizing an autograph print series signed "Ted Williams" in blue ink; 1998 Millennium Company of New York document and signature card signed "Ted Williams" in blue ink; and a small laminate "Ted Williams" name tag. The lot is accompanied by a matted and framed vintage sepia tone 7"x9" image picturing Ted Williams walking with a briefcase (not offered example) and newspaper. Interesting grouping with fine breakdown value. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Range VG-NM
