Description: June 11, 1999 Ted Williams Night at Shea Stadium Ceremonial First Pitch baseball with related sportcoat and lapel pin. Leonard Coleman NL baseball as thrown out by Ted Williams as the ceremonial first pitch at a game played between the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets at Shea Stadium on June 11, 1999. Williams was honored during the game with commemorative lapel pins bearing his uniform number "9". Included with the baseball is an example of the lapel pin as given to Williams along with a Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame sportcoat worn by Williams. Navy blue sportcoat as custom tailored by Hart Schaffner & Marx for Ted Williams having the Hitters Hall of Fame logo on the breast area. Brass buttons also feature the Hitters Hall of Fame logo with interior embroidered label, "Tailored for Ted Williams". The lot includes a color photograph picturing Williams throwing out the offered baseball while wearing an identical jacket with lapel pin. Lot also includes handwritten note by John-Henry Williams denoting that the offered ball was thrown by Ted Williams for the first pitch: EX-MT
