Description: Ted Williams Custom Made Winchester Model 21 Side by Side Shotgun. Stamped on the top barrel rib is "Custom Made by Winchester for Ted Williams" Available as custom order only after 1960, this incredible gun was made expressly for Ted. It has "TED" in gold letters on bottom of trigger guard. The gun shows only a bit of fading of the gold on the trigger, otherwise, the gun remains in as new condition. It is a handy 26" barreled 20 gauge with the 3" magnum chamber. The special order full figured dark American walnut is incredible with its full feathered buttstock. It has a simple engraving pattern on the receiver along with the forend release, trigger guard and back band on the rear of the barrels. The forearm has the ebony inset. Bores, of course, are mint. This is, as are all model 21s, a box lock but with a single selective trigger. Winchester factory letter. This example joins the ranks of celebrity built model 21s that include Dwight Eisenhower, Clark Gable, Rod Taylor, and a host of other important American icons. A once in a lifetime opportunity to buy the finest American made shotgun from the Winchester Custom department made for such a notable client.
