Description: Ted Williams Pre War W.W.Greener 12 Gauge Side By Side Factory Cased Shotgun. The name Greener is a household name throughout England and most of Europe when any conversion turns to world class shotguns. This example shows why this company is held in such high regard. First, it is factory cased with the Greener Pall Mall London label still attached to the worn and somewhat faded red velvet interior lining. It is the typical canvas travel case preferred by most English sportsman for its durability and protective qualities. The original straps are present but in need of repair. Inside the compartments meant for the take down shotgun are included an original glass and silver topped oil bottle, cleaning rod, English turn screws (screwdriver), and cleaning brushes. The shotgun itself features a case hardened finished finely engraved box lock receiver that retains traces of its original delicate finish. The 30" Nitro proofed barrels retain at least 98% of their high luster original factory blue and both bores are as new. They sport the typical full length matted rib as well. The wood is excellent and shows some typical dings and the black ebony tip of the forearm is missing but easily replaced by any competent gunsmith or wood worker.
