Description: Ted Williams First Year Production Winchester Model 21 Side by Side Shotgun. Serial number 2612 was manufactured in the very first year of production in 1930. Considered by most American Shotgun shooters as the finest shotgun ever produced in this country. Beginning in 1930, it became the go to shotgun of the who's who in America including Presidents and the Hollywood elite. This example features the typical full figured deluxe walnut that was expected for this model that retains most of its original factory finish and perfect hand checkering on both the stock and beavertail forend. A pachmair ventilated recoil pad was added at one time. The 30" blued barrels retain most of their original factory finish and sport a fine matted full length rib with red bead front sight. They are choked Modified and Full for long range bird hunting or would be fine on the Trap field as well. Both bores are as new. The receiver appears to have been professionally refinished at one time. This particular example was almost certainly among the most treasured within Ted's personal collection: EX
