Description: Ted Williams 1986 Boston Red Sox American League Championship ring. Original ring as presented to Ted Williams as a member of the Red Sox organization in 1986. 10K gold ring with a red field features a "B" logo inset into the center with (15) diamond chips. "1986" appears in raised lettering with an image of Fenway Park on one side panel. "WILLIAMS" is lettered above the Red Sox logo on the other panel. Interior ring band is engraved, "LGB 10K". Size 9.5. The 1986 Red Sox remain one of the more tragic stories in baseball history coming within a few outs of a World Championship before Mookie Wilson famously hit between Bill Buckner's legs. One can only imagine the emotions that Williams must have experienced while watching his beloved Red Sox fail to capture the World Championship yet again extending the drought that had begun in 1918: NMEstimated Price Range: ($10,000-$20,000)
