Description: May 13, 1954 Robin Roberts season win #4 game-used baseball (near perfect game). Game ball from one of Roberts finest performances in which he gave up a lead off homerun and was then flawless retiring the next (27) batters in a row. Ball used at Connie Mack Stadium vs. the Cincinnati Reds. Colorful hand painted and lettered baseball has game information throughout including scoreboard, win number, rendering of baseball diamond (stats lettered within), and hand drawn Reds logo with sailboat below named the -S.S.Robbie." Evident usage wear, age toning, even coat of shellac, and extremely minor scuffing/crazing throughout. Art and content wise, this is one of the finer balls within not only the 1954 run but the collection as a whole. Includes letter of provenance from the Roberts family: EX
