Description: Large format Championship boxers folk art display c.1950s. Oversized hand painted oil on board artwork depicting Sullivan, Corbett, Fitzsimons (sic), Jeffries, Johnson, and Dempsey measures a full 11 feet long by 35" tall. Comprised of 2 panels (one of which accounts for more than 2/3 of the piece) mounted to wooden backing strips. Minor surface soiling and scattered wear with vertical strip of paint loss where panels are joined. Backing strips likely affixed within the past decade.
