Description: **UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Pete Browning is not featured on this cabinet card as was erroneously stated in the printed catalogue description*** Scarce 1886 Louisville Colonels team cabinet photograph. 4 1/8"x6 1/2" cabinet features a composite image of the 1886 Louisville team members, including their mascot. The cabinet was produced in commemoration of the team's western tour and includes titling at the bottom that reads "Jim Hart's Louisville-California Combination Dec. 1886". Composite arrangement depicts vignette images of the players in uniform as well as two vignette images of period equipment. Photographer's studio printing on the brown mount reads "D Sewell Photo, 1025 Market St. San Francisco, Cal." Cabinet shows great image clarity with some age spotting most noticeable in the brown background area. Moderate corner wear is evident and a large moisture stain appears on the reverse: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$4,000)
