Description: Early raincap style leather football helmet c.1900s-10s. Wool lined soft leather crown with affixed ear flaps and what appears to be the original chin strap is in place. "Schmelzer" mark on the back is faint and there is moderate general use and age related wear throughout. The absence of a neck cover would date it to the 1900s and possibly as late as the 1910s: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$750)
