Description:Early Spalding Princeton style flat top leather football helmet c.1910s. Desirable style with flat top crown consisting of a single piece of leather affixed by (4) anchor points. Body is comprised of two pieces of leather which each have an ear flap cut in complete with ventilation holes. Interior padding (leather in the crown, thick felt at sides) is intact and there is a period chin strap affixed. "Spalding" mark is well defined.
