Description: 2012 George H.W. Bush autographed statement on Ted Williams (PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10). Poignant typewritten statement is done on a sheet of his personal stationary and it has been signed "George Bush." Outstanding content reads in full, "I was blessed to have Ted Williams as a real friend. Of course, as a baseball fan, I will always treasure the fact that he was the best hitter in baseball. But more importantly, Ted was truly a good man and I valued my friendship with him enormously." Williams and Bush maintained a relationship which spanned decades and when it came time for the Williams Family to offer his personal effects at auction the former President was asked to prepare a statement for the catalog introduction. The offered letter was provided without delay and fully conveys the esteem in which he held Williams. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with "Williams Family Collection" provenance noted on the label.
