Description: 1968 Roberto Clemente handwritten (2) page letter with original mailing envelope (Rare) (EX-EX/MT) Rare handwritten letter from Roberto Clemente reads in part, "Dear Friends. Hi. I hope that everything is in top shape. It was nice to talk to you yesterday. I just came from the doctor and I sit down to write+this is the first letter I write this year. I spend my money on phone calls.I am to lazy to write now but before I use to write alot. So you can see that I am getting old...My wife said hello and to tell you that she said we could get together soon..You know that my love is with you, Roberto." Includes original mailing envelope postmarked July 24, 1968 and written in his hand with "Roberto Clemente, Pittsburgh Pirates, Forbes Field" return address. Handwriting and signatures rate 8 to 9 out of 10.
