Description: 1951 Long Island University Basketball "Point Shaving Scandal" and 1948-49 New York Knickerbockers teams signed basketball (EX). Rawlings AXH Official basketball signed by the 1948-49 New York Knickerbockers team and the 1951 Long Island University team. The 1951 Long Island University team was heavily involved in the point shaving scandal in college basketball. (15) members of the 1951 Long Island University team signed the ball including Sherman White, Ralph Beard, Buck Lui, Eddie Fard, D. Feurtado, Sam Talkoff, Lee Roy Smith, Herb Schere, Adolph Bigos, Jack French, Nat Miller, Irv Horan, Tim Martha, Lou Lipman, Eddie Anderson, Barry Arelson, and T. Eavian. And (10) members of the 1948-49 Knickerbockers signed the ball including Harry Gallatin, Bud Palmer, Sidney Tannenbaum, Tommy Burns, Tex Ritter, Paul Noel, Irv Rothenbaum, Mel McGaha, and Lee Knorek. Both sets of team signatures are seperated and maintained to the same general area on the ball. All are signed in black ink and rate 8 to 9 out of 1o.
