Description: 1866 "American Pastimes" by Charles A. Peverelly hardcover book (VG/EX). A (556)-page publication "Containing a history of the principal Base Ball, Cricket, Rowing, and Yachting Clubs of the United States". Authored and published by Charles A. Peverelly in New York. Preceding the baseball section, which is titles "The National Game", are a "Diagram of a Base Ball Field" and a black-and-white illustrated plate of a primitive baseball scene. Book remains intact, but exhibits splitting at the interior binding on the title page of "The National Game" section.
