Description: Vintage Colgate University Baseball uniform, scrapbook, and suitcase c.1905 (VG-EX). Uniform is attributed to being used by William S. Conlon. Includes a Tremar King Co. size 42 jersey with "COLGATE" across the front and #21 on back; and Tremar King Co. size 36 pants. Both jersey and pants exhibit heavy usage wear with multiple team repairs on the pants. Also includes William Conlon's personal 10"x13" scrapbook album filled with approx. (40) pages of various paper ephemra including programs, schedules, letters, envelopes, newspaper articles, postcards, etc. Highlights include: 1908 Winchester "Repeating Rifles, Shotguns" envelope (missing back); 1904 Hamilton College official football program vs. Colgate ("Nov. 12, 04" written in pencil on cover); 1908 Colgate Songbook; 1905 Colgate University Glee and Mandolin Clubs concert program; Nov. 11th, 1905 Hamilton vs. Colgate football ticket; 1905 Colgate team photo football schedule; 1906 Utica Base Ball Association ticket stub; 1909 Colgate Baskteball team scorecard; May 21, 1909 Colgate Track program; and approx. (15) various Colgate baseball, football, and basketball pocket schedules c.1905-08. Majority of the items are affixed into the scrapbook by glue. Also includes original suitcase in which Conlon carried the uniform and scrapbook (period Colgate labels are affixed to the suitcase).
