Description: Rare Charles Somers (d.1934) signed letter dated 1912. (EX) Typed on "The Cleveland Ball Club Company" letterhead and dated Oct 7th 1912, Somers signed the letter in black ink. Signature rates 8/9 out of 10. Somers was one of the founders of the American League in 1901, and owner/president of the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians in the early 1900s. Due to lack of other Somers autograph exemplars, we are unable to definitively confirm the authenticity. Letter exhibits typical fold creases and is housed in 11"x14" wooden frame, with light wear and scratches to frame: EXFinal Bid: $421.00
