Description: 1909 Detroit Tigers vs Philadelphia Athletics official score card. (VG/EX) September 18th 1909 score card for game between Detroit and Philadelphia at Shibe Park. In game full of HOFers, Chief Bender struck out 9 and the A's shut out Ty Cobb's Tigers 2-0 before a crowd of 35,409 (largest paid baseball attendance in history up to that date). Score card is very neatly scored for the entire game. Box score from period newspaper is attached next to score card. HOFers Bender, Cobb, Eddie Collins, Home Run Baker, and Sam Crawford all played in game. Exhibits typical age wear mainly to fold crease as well as some tears along the edges: VG/EXFinal Bid: $248.00
