Description: Amos Alonzo Stagg signed (with handwritten notations) 1898 Spalding's Official Foot Ball Guide. (EX) 1898 Spalding guide with dustjacket. On front of dustjacket Stagg has written "1898 Foot Ball Rules. Also on pages 161-173 inclusive the Rules suggested by the Western Conference. A.A.Stagg Chairman of Revision Committee" in blue ink. On page 161 Stagg has written "Rules suggested by the Western Conference for 1898" in blue ink. Signature and writing rate 8/9 out of 10.
