Description: "c.1910s Reach figural trophy topper with period trophy bearing Christy Mathewson related engraving (See description) Attractive piece offered for its' display value with no warranties made about the originality of the engraving which reads ""Presented To Christy Matthewson, For A Great Season, 1913, A.J. Reach Co."" It came to us with no documentation or history. Trophy cup sits on a round wooden base and there a figural lid (featuring a trio of crossed bats supporting a ball engraved to resemble a Reach Official American League baseball. Light wear to trophy and base, there is some more pronounced tarnish to upper portion (which may have been replated). Around 22"" tall: See description ($500-$750)"
