Description: "1951 New York Yankees large format team photograph with Mantle and DiMaggio (GD) Period 11.25""x17"" photograph showing uniformed team members in Yankee stadium including Joe DiMaggio and then Rookie Mickey Mantle. Caption printed within along the lower edge notes that they held a (3) game lead in the American League and were closing in on the Pennant. September 1951 dates are stamped on the back in two places and there are some additional handwritten notations. Mild scattered wear is a touch more accentuated in some areas and there is vertical crease which has been pressed out and is not particularly evident when viewed from the front. Photographers mask has been applied in preparation for publication. A desirable original from the period showing a fabled Yankees Championship team in one of their most important seasons: GD "
