Description: 1942 Flash Magazine - Satchel Paige and the East West Classic (signed and inscribed from Cool Papa Bell Collection) (See description) Original issue of Flash magazine which was published in September of 1942 has Satchel Paige pictured on the cover. Interior has several pages which cover Paige, the East West Negro League All Star Game, and a Rube Foster memorial. In addition there are many advertisements related to African American businesses. Signed "This book belong to Cool Bell" on the cover in ink rating 8/9 out of 10. It originates from Bell himself and was gifted to a long time sports memorabilia dealer whom had several paid autograph signings with Bell in the early 1980s. Magazine displays nicely however the covers (which have chipping, tears, and other wear) are separated. These could certainly be resecured to the balance of the magazine by a professional conservator: See description ($500-$1,000)
