Description: Original Ron Lewis Negro Leaguer Verdell "Lefty" Mathis painting, c. 1991 (NM). Legendary sports artist Ron Lewis created (30) paintings of Negro Leaguers that were used as the basis for a postcard set released in 1991. Offered is a beautiful acrylic on canvas board showing Verdell "Lefty" Mathis, a pitcher primarily with the Memphis Red Sox. Painting is framed to 12"x15," and signed and dated 1991 by Lewis in the lower right, with postcard also included. Frame has some damage on the reverse. Painting: NM; Frame: VG/EX.Final Bid: $171.00
