Description: 1965 World Series Game 1 ticket stub - Sandy Koufax sits out for Yom Kippur (VG). Nice eye appeal stub from Game 1 of the 1965 World Series at Metropolitan Stadium, in which Dodgers' ace Sandy Koufax decided to sit out because the game fell on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in the Jewish calendar. Don Drysdale started instead, and the Twins went on to win 8-2. Stub has a small crease in the lower left but retains nice eye appeal overall: VG.Final Bid: $1,287.00
