Description: Reb Russell professional model bat, c. 1917-21 (EX). Hillerich & Bradsby 125 model bat with Reb Russell facsimile signature impressed in the barrel measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 40.1 oz. Uncracked with light evident use, including grain swelling/separation on the reverse of the barrel , which has been repaired with five nails. Notably rare bat made for the former White Sox pitcher Russell, likely for his return to Major League Baseball as an outfielder with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1922.
