Description: Lot of (38) MLB Cy Young winner-inscribed baseballs, including Gibson, Spahn & Ford (Sigs. GD-MT). Outstanding quantity of MLB Cy Young winner autographed baseballs spanning the 1950s through the 2000s. Each added a Cy Young year inscription. Most are signed on official A.L. or N.L. baseballs with a few exceptions. Balls are signed by Denny McLain, (3) Gaylord Perry, Whitey Ford, (2) Bob Gibson (one with ""Cy Young 68"" and one with ""NL Cy Young 70"" inscription, Steve Carlton (with ""4 72, 77, 80, 82"" inscription), Frank Viola, Orel Hershiser (faded, rating 2 out of 10), Jim Palmer (with A.L. Cy Yg 1973, 75, 76 inscription), Tom Glavine (slightly faded, rating 6 out of 10), Mike McCormick, LaMarr Hoyt, (2) Bret Saberhagen, (2) Ron Guidry, Jack McDowell, Mike Flanagan, Chris Carpenter, (2) David Cone, Willie Hernandez (faded rating 4 out of 10), Rollie Fingers, Bullet Bob Turley, Vern Law, Bruce Sutter (faded, rating 3 out of 10), (2) Fergie Jenkins, Warren Spahn, Randy Jones, Dennis Eckersley, Greg Maddux (slightly faded, rating 6 out of 10), Mike Cuellar, Dean Chance, Jim Lonborg and Doug Drabek. Signatures range from 2 to 9 (avg. 7/8) and balls have mostly light to moderate toning: VG/EX-NM/MT. ($500-$1,000)
This internet auction will close to initial bids at 10pm E.S.T on December 3, 2025. Bids may be placed at any time up until the closing and bidding will extend past 10pm E.S.T. on December 3 for 20 minute intervals per lot for each bid placed on a given lot.
