Description: 1889 handwritten letter signed by Fort Worth Panthers manager James Horsfield on team stationery with original envelope (EX). Lengthy letter dated 2/10/1889 covering the entire front and 1/3 of the back which was sent to a potential player named Robert Allen discussing his desire to have him come play for the team. Horsfield wrote and signed the letter in vintage fountain pen. Signature rates 8 out of 10. Only light wear with normal fold creases, and includes the original mailing envelope: EX ($500-$1,000)
