Description: Bill Walton's notebook with numerous notes including draft of letter regarding Sprewell/Carlesimo incident, c.1997 (VG/EX). Spiral notebook (missing front cover) filled with Walton's handwritten notes and various contact info. Most noteworthy, on the very last page, is a rough draft of Walton's letter written to David Stern regarding the infamous 1997 incident Latrell Sprewell choking P.J. Carlesimo. It contains poignant compliments from Walton to Stern for his work within the league, and relationships between the NBA, players, and fans including his concern for the league coming out of this incident. Walton signed the draft "B W" "NBA 1974-1988" "Basketball Hall of Fame 1993" (wear around the corners of the pages). Includes certificate of provenance from Walton Family: VG/EX
