Description: Oversized c.1930s "Base Ball Trade Card" gambling game by Werts Novelty (See description) Die cut oversized baseball themed game was played for a nickle and there was a chance to win as much as one dollar. Batter shaped backing board (19.5" tall) has many small paper packets affixed (3 or 4 may have been removed) which presumably unfold to reveal to result of the buyers "play." Nice for display and currently mounted to a paper backing for stability with creasing and some breaks in the material visible. The extent to which these effect the piece is not entirely clear but it does appear that one extends horizontally through the entire piece (some tape was added along this crease) and may break through the material.
