Description: May, 11 1936 "Via Airship Hindenburg" postal cover (GD). Original envelope was mailed from Larchmont, N.Y. to Linz am Rhein, Germany "Via Airship Hindenburg," and is postmarked in N.Y. on the reverse 5-11-1936, several days after the ill-fated airship's maiden voyage. A little over a year later, the zepplin was destroyed in a fiery crash in Manchester Township, N.J., killing 35. Envelope has a center fold line and other age-related wear: GD.Final Bid: $41.00
