Description: 1972 Topps partial set (740/787) with many HOFers, including Clemente, Aaron and Mays (PR-NM). Nice lot offers an excellent start on a 1972 Topps set, with (740) different cards of the 787 issued and missing mostly high numbers to complete the set, as well as #s 79 Carlton Fisk RC, 595 Nolan Ryan, 686 Steve Garvey, 695 Rod Carew, 761 Ron Cey RC, Traded star cards and others. Highlights include #s 37 Carl Yastrzemski (FR), 49 Willie Mays (VG), 299 Hank Aaron (VG/EX), 309 Roberto Clemente (VG), 441 Thurman Munson (FR), 433 Johnny Bench (VG), 435 Reggie Jackson (VG/EX), 445 Tom Seaver (EX/MT OC), 550 Brooks Robinson (EX) and 559 Pete Rose (PR). Balance of the lot appears mostly EX with some better and the commons generally in nicer condition than the stars. Range: PR-NM. ($500-$1,000)
