Description: 1954 Sports Illustrated 1st issue with 1954 Topps card insert and letter from founder (VG). Outstanding original Aug. 16, 1954 issue features an intact, 27-card 1954 Topps insert (EX) featuring Mays, Robinson, Williams, Ashburn, Hodges, Snider, Mathews and more. Magazine has moderate wear, including some creasing and fold lines on the lower right corner and creasing and small tears on the back cover. Also included is original letter to subscribers from founder Henry R. Luce with facsimile signatures. Interior pages are mostly clean: VG.Final Bid: $149.00
