Description: 1939 "Cavalcade of Baseball" Hall of Fame Opening Day and Induction Ceremony ticket stub with (5) autographs - mailed and postmarked (Sigs. NM, Ticket stub VG) Original heavy stock ticket stub issued for the June 12, 1939 festivities has a name and address written on the back in fountain pen. An original Centennial stamp was affixed and postmarked June 12, 1939 from Cooperstown. In later years stamps of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jackie Robinson were added and First Day of Issue postmarked were likewise applied. the stub shows little wear otherwise. It has been signed in marker (8 to 9 out of 10) by Johnny VanderMeer, Bill Jurges, Charles Gehringer, Billy Herman, and Cookie Lavagetto. ($400-$600)Final Bid: $308.00
