Description: Roger Maris and others autographed 1962 "Tops In Sports" banquet program (Sigs. EX/MT-NM). Program issued for a January 15, 1962 banquet thrown by the Maryland Professional Baseball Players Association. This group was responsible for presenting several notable awards in the period including their annual bestowing of the "Sultan of Swat" crown. Roger Maris was chosen for that honor in January of 1962 in recognition of his record setting 1961 season. Signed on the cover by (12) attendees incl. Maris, Whitey Ford, Brooks Robinson, Lee MacPhail, Charlie Keller, Gus Triandos, Chuck Thompson, and Norm Cash. All are done in ink rating 7 to 8 out of 10. Light general handling and there is a vertical fold down the center which has been well pressed out through years of flat storage. Includes full LOA from JSA: Sigs.
