Description: Newmans College, San Francisco, German beer stein with sports décor, c. early 1900s (EX). Nicely done 9" stein with metal lid for Newmans College of San Francisco, one of the earliest forms of a sports bar. Stein is stamped "Germany" on the underside of the base and features embossed baseball, football and other spots decor, along with "Dewey The Rescuer World Champion" St. Bernard. Stein displays some age-related wear, mostly on the lid, but retains excellent display value: EX.Final Bid: $32.00
