Description: Gale Sayers autographed c.1965 original photo display by W.Bielskis (Sayers Collection) (EX-NM) Original 8"x10" black and white photograph (mounted to board) as captured by noted photographer W.Bielskis depicting Sayers as rookie running for a touchdown at Wrigley Field. Dated 10/31/65 with handwritten and signed inscription from the photographer on the mount. Sayers has signed the print in black ink on the matting. Masterful image capturing the very essence of Sayers explosive and elegant running style. This piece was originally offered as lot 497 of our February 2016 sale of pieces from the Gale Sayers collection however the certificate of provenance is not included (it was not provided to us).
