Nice lot of original stubs from Forbes Field that saw the Pittsburgh Pirates capture the opening game of the classic 7-game series with a 6-4 win over the New York Yankees, and marking the World Series debut of Roberto Clemente. Roger Maris and Elston Howard hit home runs for the Yankees, while Bill Mazeroski hit a home run for the Pirates.
