Description: Outstanding early Canadian baseball team photograph - "Les Champions De 1896" (Displays GD-VG) Very sharp early sepia toned photograph on mount showing a uniformed team, with each player wearing what appears to be a Championship pin, complete with bats and balls in the foreground. Titled "Les Champions De 1896, Batt-Ball, Intermediaire Ligue de Quebec, Club National" across the top and players are identified along the bottom. Displays nicely with some toning and surface wear/imperfection throughout. The most notable flaw appears to be a tear on the top edge. Visible area of the photo and mount is approx. 15"x13" and it is framed to 17.5"x20.5" for display.
