Description: February 7, 1989 Mario Lemieux game worn NHL All-Star Game professional model jersey (NHL letter of provenance). Black and white jersey with orange accents has the "NHL" crest on front. A "Lemieux" nameplate appears on the back above player number "66." The number also appears on each sleeve and there is a "40th NHL All-Star Game" patch on the right shoulder. An "A" patch on front chest denotes alternate captain. "Maska" tag in the collar has size "52" ink notation and the number "2" is written on in marker. Signed on the upper back in black marker rating 8 out of 10. Included letter on National Hockey League stationary (dated March 9, 1989 and signed by the G.M. of their retail licensing division) reads in part, "This letter is to officially certify that the All-Star jersey...is authentic and was both worn and signed by Mr. Mario Lemieux on February 7, 1989 at the 40th Annual NHL All-Star Game..." Appropriate light evident use and possibly wash wear throughout. Includes letter of provenance, auction LOA from JSA (autograph), and LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX ($10,000-$20,000)
