Description: Two Oakland A's gold sanitary socks attributed to Joe DiMaggio and Reggie Jackson, c. late 1960s (EX). Interesting and seldom-offered pairing of socks attributed to the Oakland A's, circa 1968-1969, when DiMaggio was the team's hitting coach and Jackson was just beginning his Hall of Fame career. One sock is marked "9" at the toe (Jackson's number), while the other is marked "5" (DiMaggio's number). Both are well-preserved despite evidence of strong use/wear and soiling. Included is a COA from our consignor stating the socks were originally obtained from longtime A's and Giants memorabilia dealer Dick Dobbins, who obtained them from the A's: EX.Final Bid: $53.00
