Description: c.1890s album of (72) cabinet cards including (3) Harvard baseball players and (1) football player (Cabinet cards VG-EX/MT) Interesting group of (72) approx. 4.25"x6.5" cabinet cards which appear to have been assembled in the period and placed within the included album. It is likely that they mostly relate to Harvard University and/or notables from Massachusetts and there are (3) which show uniformed Harvard baseball players and (1) football player. These (4) pieces are marked "Pach Bros" on the mount. Most of the other pieces are likewise by Pack however we did note a few other studios mixed in. It is likely that the additional pieces show a mix of students, professors, visiting professors, others related to the school, and some state legislators. A handful of pieces appear to have been signed by the subject and/or have a period identifier written on. The (4) cards which we removed (of the sports team members) are in EX or better condition however each has a small pencil notation on back: Cabinet cards VG-EX/MT ($500-$750)Final Bid: $877.00
